What is Omicron?

The Omicron variant (B.1.1.529) is a version of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) that was first said to the world health organization (WHO) from South Africa on 24 November 2021. Omicron virus gets mutation.

What is the incubation of the Omicron virus?

How does omicron spread?

Omicron spread more easily as compared to the original covid virus as well as their delta variant. Omicron spread from one person to another person even affected person does not have symptoms. As well as even person is vaccinated. The Omicron variant multiplies more rapidly than other variants like the delta variant.

Symptoms of this virus

Symptoms are mostly the same as another variant.
Headache
Sore throat
Runny nose
Temperature
Laziness
Fatigue
Dry cough with water in the nose
Loss of smell and taste
Some patients have diarrhea
Most severe symptoms include having shortness of breath, difficulty in breathing, speech, and chest pain.

How do we protect ourselves from variant?

If you have any symptoms of Omicron like runny nose, sore throat. Omicron virus gets mutation. Sneezing then you have to get isolated in your home.
If are living in the area have a greater number of cases of Omicron or any other variant you should stay at home and not make close contact with others who live in that area
You should have to wear a mask when you go outside in the crowd like markets or any formal or informal gatherings.
You should get vaccinated as having 3 doses ( 1 booster dose) to protect yourself as well your family and friends. Vaccination protects about 30-40% to get an infection and about 70% protect us from hospitalization.
Finally, the main role performed by your immune system so, you have to eat fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, etc which can fulfill your body requirement.
Make sure to add vitamin C to your diet to make your immune system strong.
Proper sleep is also important for good health in order to make your body strong.
